The owner-managed Aerni family business is an employer with a long tradition in the Basel region and also trains apprentices in various professions. Since its foundation, Aerni has continuously developed through its innovative products. Sustainability of the products on offer and their production has always been a key focus. In Pratteln, for example, heat is generated with a woodchip furnace and solar power is produced on the roof of the main building.

Aerni AG was founded in 1957. Today, Aerni employs around 40 people at its Pratteln site. The second generation of the family to run the company is Bernhard Aerni, who is the sole shareholder.

The safety of plants requires reliable control in all production phases with work processes that can be traced at all times. Aerni’s quality management is certified according to internationally recognised standards. Design, construction and manufacture according to AD 2000 regulations in the currently valid version, quality assured and certified according to PED 2014/68/EU.

Aerni disposes of a high-performance infrastructure in the office and for all production steps in apparatus construction. The high level of vertical integration guarantees comprehensive service from a single source, without passing on sensitive data to third-party companies. Aerni’s experts are qualified to manufacture complex plant components and manage the entire development process, including all the necessary approval tests.
penetration testing
All machines, apparatus, barrier pressure vessels, equipment and fully assembled systems are subjected to a thorough quality inspection. Aerni carries out the necessary tests according to customer specifications or standard requirements. The pressure and penetration test is carried out by specially trained Aerni personnel in the factory’s own acceptance room. The X-ray of the pressure vessels is commissioned from accredited partners.
